Interesting new series from Ms. Wondrak. She creates a whole new world called The Second where you can meet other races (the Elven, the Malus, the Ulen and the Dracon) and where different rules apply. I can see some similarities with common mythology but nevertheless they are different species with supernatural powers and most of them are way too beautiful to be trusted. At least that is what Faith claims. Faith is a young student at the Academy on the Earth, where she is learning to become a hunter for people making illegal portals to the other Wolds or smuggling something through it. She is a young rebel, sometimes a bit annoying and making some immature decisions. Her attitude may come out a bit arrogant, but she is just a snarky teenager and that shows in her behaviour with braking the rules all the time. I like how she is acting her age and is not all mature and perfect and making adult decisions which make her more realistic. I believe this became one of my favorite series. Erotic untraditional vampires combined with a female heroine in a great suspense is just amazing. The complexity of the plot is so well written that you can easily imagine every scene in details. After her deal and help with Queen Zaniyah, Isadore is ready for her well-deserved rest but politics and NY queen have something else in mind. She is invited to New York, where she will finally face and deal with the NY Queen. All of this while dealing with betrayal from someone from Zaniyah’s nest and Ra’s intrusion. While in NY the story is quickly developing and turning, but the reader doesn’t feel like it’s rushing so it’s nicely executed. Every Blood has well developed character with so much depth you feel for them every time they hurt and love. It is wonderful how she knows how to use their advantages and takes time for every single one of them. She is still getting to know the new twins and there is a hint of doubt that quickly dissolves when they open to her and help her in critical situation. Ms. Sinclair is my go-to author when I need some sweet romance, with perfect Doms and kinky sex. Josie is a writer, bartender and a single mother trying to raise a teenage son as best as she can. She is sweet, determined and despite being a writer she doesn’t believe in romance due to her past experience. When she loses her job as a bartender she ends up serving drinks in Shadowland where her curiosity for BDSM (and her neighbor) grows potentially, despite their cold start. Holt is her neighbor and such an amazing man, patient, sweet, loyal and alpha despite his easy-going nature. Nevertheless, he is a Dom and a good one. She falls for Josie and is willing to wait and help her to see what they have is worth saving. I liked their story, it is such a sweet and perfect romance with light BDSM. He listens to her, pushes her and knows how to make them both craving for more. I love HEA at every aspect. Interaction with the characters from previous books was a great bonus. I would recommend this book to readers who like kinky romance with almost perfect characters and HEA.

First let me say I am a fan of Gena and her Lords of the Underworld so I had great expectation about this book. I was a bit disappointed. Not that it was bad but this was more of an action movie story than paranormal romance. The constant fight between good and evil and never-ending inner battles.
