Damn this reminded me why I hate bullies and popular in High School who had their own groupies and acted like they are Gods and could get away with everything. The plot is realistic with tough situations and dark heroes. Life isn’t always fair and there will be people who will screw you which sucks. For Courtney there were consequences and there were moments I wanted to yell at her to grow a backbone and stop being a sheep. But with a help from her so called nemesis she turns into a wolf. I loved seeing her transformation. The ending is HEA yet a bit unrealistic. I did like how the author exposed the now day problems with cyberbullying.
What a lovely treat for upcoming holidays. This is a story about love and second chances and fits perfectly in this time of year. I was wondering how will 4 so different people with different past work out together and Ms Blevins knows how to interwine them marvelously. Cole – a bear shifter and Jayce – a powerful vampire complete each other in their partnership. They are in love and happy together. They are sort of equal partners and their sex is smoking hot. It seems they don’t need nobody else, until Polly comes around. She is strong, independent vampire who has some bad reputation due to her past. As she was asleep for 150 years, she is now forced to learn all the history, social etiquette and technology in modern time. Let’s not forget Sergei – a werewolf and their house manager, wanting to be more. He was such a sweet albeit strong pet and so desperately in need of unconditional love and trust. I admired Jayce, he was the stone in their relationship. Smart, wise, patient and full of great ideas… I was fond of hard topics they discussed and how they confronted past vs. Present. The history,…
I believe this became one of my favorite series. Erotic untraditional vampires combined with a female heroine in a great suspense is just amazing. The complexity of the plot is so well written that you can easily imagine every scene in details. After her deal and help with Queen Zaniyah, Isadore is ready for her well-deserved rest but politics and NY queen have something else in mind. She is invited to New York, where she will finally face and deal with the NY Queen. All of this while dealing with betrayal from someone from Zaniyah’s nest and Ra’s intrusion. While in NY the story is quickly developing and turning, but the reader doesn’t feel like it’s rushing so it’s nicely executed. Every Blood has well developed character with so much depth you feel for them every time they hurt and love. It is wonderful how she knows how to use their advantages and takes time for every single one of them. She is still getting to know the new twins and there is a hint of doubt that quickly dissolves when they open to her and help her in critical situation. She is amazing in her unapologetic love for life…
Be prepared for one sexy and entertaining ride. When you get the chance to fulfill all your darkest desires, what would you do? Cassie is one strong, independent and tough lawyer. She is smart, intelligent, bratty and focused on her work she is good at. But deep down she is missing some crucial part, she is craving a dominant man who is strong enough to stand up to her, to fight her back and force her to submit. She is ashamed of her darkest fantasies of consensual non-con, but she finds her match in Patrick. Patrick is sexy playboy who has only one rule. Never sleeps with the same woman twice and tell them ahead what to expect. His goal is to fulfill their fantasies and leave before morning. But he is transfixed with Cassie’s attitude and her snickering comment about his lifestyle. He is interested in her but she doesn’t seem to fall on his charm. But one night the spark between them catches fire and their one-night stand is one of the best for both of them. The game is changed. Their agreement for just sex and fulfilling Cassie’s darkest desires is for both of their safety. The chemistry…
Steamy, sweet and sexy romance with a playboy full of contradictions. Roman is ruthless lawyer and a stripper playboy who enjoys his kinky sex and sharing woman. Addison is a starting lawyer and a friend of Romans friend what makes her off limits. They are both determined to get their own way what gets things interesting quickly. One night on her friend’s party they hook up – in the alley with another couple watching… It is hot, erotic, hard and amazing. They both lie to themselves that this was it until she comes to work for his law firm and stops fighting their mutual attraction and chemistry. They “relationship” is intense and full of sex. But things don’t go smoothly until the end when they find happiness and soul mates in each other. I loved how we have two strong characters that just click together. Their attraction is visible to everybody. There were some clichés and predictable moments but it was entertaining nevertheless. I liked how everyone (in the series) has their particular kink and are not ashamed of it. The second book follows similar pattern as the first but with different characters.
What happens when two natural enemies met? When predator decides he likes his pray for different reasons than food? This is a lovely romance with sweet but persistent wolf shifter who is protective and dominant. He is new to MC and is still learning his way around but was entranced from the beginning with Tippy who is a deer shifter but also an Olympic shooter. Nix was fascinated with her achievement and his love for shooting ( he is snipper) only wants to know her more. I like the dynamics between their human and animal nature and instincts. It was shorter than other MC books but it was sweet romantically erotical book with no suspense.
So meet Griffin, the most immature, narcissistic, egocentric and selfish douchebag with no filter. He is not very smart and there are moment I almost feel sorry for him how naive he is. He is so proud and blames everybody else for his lack of effort. His hunger for fame and importance is so childish. He is so unlikable that is a miracle I went through the book. But I kept hoping that he will finally mature and get over his self-importance and God-complex. I had to wait quite a while and go through a lot of his shit but in the end he made it. He grown up and matured and started making right decisions and responsibility for his actions. Bit I still can not believe how he annoyed me through the story. Other than that it was good to see and meet other members and a glimpse into their life.
My first thought: I hate Anita and Jonas – they are sick and twisted individuals that want to control everybody and they (especially Jonas) is making an excuse with his “Faith and Jesus” – they think they are superior because of their money and influence. Jonas is a real psychopath. Aldous – He was ok, the most realistic person in the book with his temper and not being perfect. As a Dom he is so-so, some scenes are not very safe. Carson -for a first time test being in the cage and bound for the whole night and again through the day I don’t find that healthy. He also didn’t do much explaining for the scenes, not that he must as a Dom, but some conversation for someone who is just getting to know bdsm would be appreciated. Carson – She didn’t get under my skin like some heroines do. Her investigation at first is a bit lacking and she is not really good detective. As for the submissive role – she is so eager to please him and do as he say, very trusting at first. As for their relationship – It was ok. The bdsm scenes were ok,…
Would you play a game if you didn’t know the rules? How would you pass the test? Simple, you pass the test by taking the test. My rating: Solid 5 stars This book was an amazing journey that sucks you right into their world and make you crave for more. I felt like an Alice in kinky wonderland for a while. This book, the plot, the writing and characters are all so delicious I want to live with them. Kingsley works for a secret agency and he gets a new assignment: to find his boss’s nephew Leon. Every other agent failed at the start but King being a King and masochist on top of all gives him advantage where others who tried failed. He gets into the chateau which is a whole new world of intrigue, sex, games, mind games, rules and fun. He finds Leon but things are not as straight forward as the information he was given. This isn’t a cult, it’s something much more intense and perfect for him. His time in chateau reveals more of Madame past and unexpected twists. Her story is a bit tragic though. The building itself is described in such manner a…
