Wow, this was one hell of a dark, twisted and intense story. It kept me on edge till the end. Nadia is a 17 old girl. Her mother married a millionaire Donovan Jayne. He is handsome, overprotective and there is obvious chemistry between them, but still he is her stepdad and off limits. One day her new friend Kasey is kidnapped and even though she witnessed the kidnapping she doesn’t remember much. Years later, Kasey still wasn’t found and Nadia is engaged to her stepdad (ex) best friend and police Chief Logan. She has her own agenda while still searching for Kasey, but there are others too who won’t let the past in the past. I loved the plot, the suspense and all the graphic details despite the dark and twisted scenes. There is a lot of sex, non-con acts and some weird romance. Everything slams together in the end and we do have some sort of HEA. The characters were real and their charisma was strong. I just couldn’t get over Logan, he was such a prick from the beginning and I still don’t understand how he managed to manipulate everything. Further into the book I hated his guts and…
Wow this was one intensely dark read. The emotional suspense, intrigue, love, passion, commitment, kink and more… 4 friends, young and innocent got sucked into a scheme of grownups. Their youth taken away too soon, too swift and it changed everything. One couple, two brothers all very protective of the only girl in their little circle. Conor and Jake are soulmates and decided to make love for the first time on her 16th birthday outside in the open. They are ranchers after all. While preparing to make it special and a bit kinky, they got ambushed. So 3 boys are forced to watch their friend being raped over and over again. Her innocence brutally taken, and the traumatic incident changed them all. 6 years later little bits and pieces are clearing up about the past. Nothing is as it seemed at first. The dark schemes revealing a lot more everybody expected. All The characters are strong. Dominating cowboys protective and possessive of their own. They show a wide range of emotions and sometimes act in unpredictable ways, but they move the plot forward with their action. I love how they are dark and hurt but they still know how to…
I believe this became one of my favorite series. Erotic untraditional vampires combined with a female heroine in a great suspense is just amazing. The complexity of the plot is so well written that you can easily imagine every scene in details. After her deal and help with Queen Zaniyah, Isadore is ready for her well-deserved rest but politics and NY queen have something else in mind. She is invited to New York, where she will finally face and deal with the NY Queen. All of this while dealing with betrayal from someone from Zaniyah’s nest and Ra’s intrusion. While in NY the story is quickly developing and turning, but the reader doesn’t feel like it’s rushing so it’s nicely executed. Every Blood has well developed character with so much depth you feel for them every time they hurt and love. It is wonderful how she knows how to use their advantages and takes time for every single one of them. She is still getting to know the new twins and there is a hint of doubt that quickly dissolves when they open to her and help her in critical situation. She is amazing in her unapologetic love for life…
Oh wow, what did I just read? This was one intense roller coaster of paranormal politics, fight, bad decisions, good intentions, heartbreak, sex and more. So much happened in this book it is hard to put in a review but still so many questions are still not answered. Ms. Blevins shakes the whole paranormal world with so many twists and turned everything upside-down. Who is good and who is bad, who are allies, who would you chose to save? So many moral questions and not one straight answer. Will good ever defeat the bad? I guess the balance is important but what happens when the scale goes to the wrong side? Everybody claims they have good reasoning behind their decision but decisions are still hard to understand. I loved the plot and suspense and even moments that made me love and hate and curse everybody and every decision. I still have a hard time processing Abbott decision. I really hoped they will get back together. He is ultimate authority, strong, sexy and uncompromising but caring and a strict Dom with kink I love. That is why I was shocked to find out he was behind Kirsten kidnaping. Kirsten is trying…
Oh wow, Mrs. Dukey provides us with a dark, twisted masterpiece. The plot and writing is great with a psychological input and such mindfuck it leaves you wanting for more. The characters are all a bit broken but they are so well described and developed they came out realistic. This one is for lovers of dark erotica who are not offended by rape, abuse and so much more. Expect the unexpected
My first thought: I hate Anita and Jonas – they are sick and twisted individuals that want to control everybody and they (especially Jonas) is making an excuse with his “Faith and Jesus” – they think they are superior because of their money and influence. Jonas is a real psychopath. Aldous – He was ok, the most realistic person in the book with his temper and not being perfect. As a Dom he is so-so, some scenes are not very safe. Carson -for a first time test being in the cage and bound for the whole night and again through the day I don’t find that healthy. He also didn’t do much explaining for the scenes, not that he must as a Dom, but some conversation for someone who is just getting to know bdsm would be appreciated. Carson – She didn’t get under my skin like some heroines do. Her investigation at first is a bit lacking and she is not really good detective. As for the submissive role – she is so eager to please him and do as he say, very trusting at first. As for their relationship – It was ok. The bdsm scenes were ok,…
Would you play a game if you didn’t know the rules? How would you pass the test? Simple, you pass the test by taking the test. My rating: Solid 5 stars This book was an amazing journey that sucks you right into their world and make you crave for more. I felt like an Alice in kinky wonderland for a while. This book, the plot, the writing and characters are all so delicious I want to live with them. Kingsley works for a secret agency and he gets a new assignment: to find his boss’s nephew Leon. Every other agent failed at the start but King being a King and masochist on top of all gives him advantage where others who tried failed. He gets into the chateau which is a whole new world of intrigue, sex, games, mind games, rules and fun. He finds Leon but things are not as straight forward as the information he was given. This isn’t a cult, it’s something much more intense and perfect for him. His time in chateau reveals more of Madame past and unexpected twists. Her story is a bit tragic though. The building itself is described in such manner a…
