Delicious 4 stars Something different from K.Webster. She is my go-to author for something darkish and kinky. This one is paranormal on top of that all. Be still my heart. I was consumed from the beginning. A young queen, who used to wield so much power and magic, is dying, but she doesn’t know why. A handsome king, with her opposite power, is coming to conquer. He is a Jang to her jing, and he won’t stop at anything. I was glued to it and read it in one sitting. I love the world she creates, which is full of paranormal and magic, the main characters are funny, full of life, determined and devoted to their goal. Their connections as a bit instant, but it was still believable. My only complaint is it was too short. I knew from the start who the traitor is, so there was no big surprise. This is a kinky paranormal romance for a reader who loves alpha, kinky males, strong females, and HEA.

Ms. Candace surprised us again with a brilliant story. The title is very fitting on many sides, not just the obvious one. We get to know much more about vampire politics and how things are managed in the back. We knew a lot from previous books but this one is up-close with more details, interaction, dynamics and power exchange. The plot is pretty direct with an ex-slave given to a vampire pair and due to the circumstances, another ex-slave Arabella joins them. It was amazing to see so many layers of Ajax, revealing them one by one was fascinating. I’m not sure I liked more his serving side or dominating one. His growth and development were fascinating and Ms. Blevins does a wonderful job revealing his emotions, psyche, and struggles through becoming his own person again and finding his place. His past is tragic and I was amazed by how he managed to come out being the whole person. When he connects with Arabella it is clear that the union between 4 of them is complete. The battle that is ongoing at the time is epic and for those who want to know more, it is mandatory to read Unhuman…

A new author for me that get me hooked. Olivia is a scientist that works for a company studying other species. When one night one hot injured male lands on her table she is struck by his beauty and curious about his species. But when he bites her all bets are off. They are both forced to fight the bond trying to connect them as they are fated mates. I liked Olivia. She is smart, fun, determined and also doesn’t back down – I liked that about her. Being strong despite being human. Loren is the last prince of elves and he wasn’t in contact with humans for a long time. He is intense, arrogant, protective, kind and all male. He is a warrior with brains. Their chemistry is sparkling and when they both finally give in, it is hot as hell. I liked their bonding, their conversation and revealing the past. I hurt for his brother and I am hoping to see more of him in future books. I loved the world and species the author creates and I can’t wait to read more about it. Lia’s graduation party turns interesting, when she gets a present from their parents – a valuable vine cup. But this should be a magical mythological cup – it should have special powers. When another art collector August, who claims to know how to unleash its powers, wants to buy it from her, she has another exchange in mind. I am trying not to reveal too much so I will just go over the most Yummy thing I enjoyed in this book. Every chapter reveals more sensual and sexual adventures wrapped with mythological characters in different time. I ate up the stories with Gods and others full of passion and rough love. The walk through the Greek mythology was enlightening. The scenes were hot and the characters were funny, rough and erotic. I was thrilled to read about some of my favorite myths tangled with Lia’s world. A delightful mix of fantasy along with modern time and full of sensual play.

What a lovely treat for upcoming holidays. This is a story about love and second chances and fits perfectly in this time of year. I was wondering how will 4 so different people with different past work out together and Ms Blevins knows how to interwine them marvelously. Cole – a bear shifter and Jayce – a powerful vampire complete each other in their partnership. They are in love and happy together. They are sort of equal partners and their sex is smoking hot. Interesting new series from Ms. Wondrak. She creates a whole new world called The Second where you can meet other races (the Elven, the Malus, the Ulen and the Dracon) and where different rules apply. I can see some similarities with common mythology but nevertheless they are different species with supernatural powers and most of them are way too beautiful to be trusted. At least that is what Faith claims. Faith is a young student at the Academy on the Earth, where she is learning to become a hunter for people making illegal portals to the other Wolds or smuggling something through it. She is a young rebel, sometimes a bit annoying and making some immature decisions. Her attitude may come out a bit arrogant, but she is just a snarky teenager and that shows in her behaviour with braking the rules all the time. I like how she is acting her age and is not all mature and perfect and making adult decisions which make her more realistic. Kirsten starts with a bang in this one. Her rightful vengeance against Gavin is detailed and sadistic. There are moments she is in doubt but she quickly correct herself remembering him violating her and enjoying it. We get some insight into his past and. I could almost call it conditioning as it made him the way he is. I understand some of his reasoning so I don’t hate him completely. Her punishment is brutal and almost symbolic with her holding his heart. I still regret her relationship with Abbott but there were other path meant for her. Kirsten goes to China. So this book has more mystic and spiritual ways in finding her old teacher and learning new things. Her power grows incredibly. It was interesting twist seeing Eastern culture, philosophy and their mythology that is much different than ours. Their everyday life is more intervened with it so following her path gets us some insight. And Mrs. Blevins overcome the cultural difference with ease so the reader doesn’t feel bewildered even though he is not familiar with their ways. There is little sex in this one, but that one scene with Nathan makes up for it as Mrs. Blevins…

Oh wow, what did I just read? This was one intense roller coaster of paranormal politics, fight, bad decisions, good intentions, heartbreak, sex and more. So much happened in this book it is hard to put in a review but still so many questions are still not answered. Ms. Blevins shakes the whole paranormal world with so many twists and turned everything upside-down. Who is good and who is bad, who are allies, who would you chose to save? So many moral questions and not one straight answer. Will good ever defeat the bad? I guess the balance is important but what happens when the scale goes to the wrong side? Everybody claims they have good reasoning behind their decision but decisions are still hard to understand. I loved the plot and suspense and even moments that made me love and hate and curse everybody and every decision. I still have a hard time processing Abbott decision. I really hoped they will get back together. He is ultimate authority, strong, sexy and uncompromising but caring and a strict Dom with kink I love. First let me say I am a fan of Gena and her Lords of the Underworld so I had great expectation about this book. I was a bit disappointed. Not that it was bad but this was more of an action movie story than paranormal romance. The constant fight between good and evil and never-ending inner battles. But when he meets Annabelle he doesn’t understand the appeal at first. But the more time he spend with her, the more he understand why are humans important and precious. Annabelle is a strong girl who is falsely accused of killing her parents and put in the mental institution, because no one believes her there are monsters (demons) walking among people. She suffered so much but came out stronger. I like my heroines strong and that they are not always damsel in distress  in need of a great hero.
