5 amazing stars, The Sinners are back with a brand new amazing story New city and new chapters of life are bringing something different…it seems everybody is changed, more mature but there are some things inside of all of them, they can’t run away from. Søren was suspended from the Jesuits and he is dealing with it in his own way. Kingsley is expecting his third child and is nervous and panicked as hell. Nora is almost as usual self – getting involved in things that mean trouble. The priest committed suicide, but how is he connected to Nora? She needs to know! When I first heard the title of this book, I thought it will be about Søren and his life after Jesuits, but nooo, this one is about some other priest. There are many correlations through the story, that you can connect to their life, if you know their past and I found that very intriguing. I loved every minute of it, and that the story is placed in New Orleans, with magic and voodoo and witches and….be still my heart, it is perfect. An average reader might read it as classic mystery, but if you read closely…
Can I read this book again for the first time? It was EPIC. I think I cried, Laugh and experienced so many emotions like I was right there with them. Ms. Blevins leads us to the final battle between good and evil. It is overwhelming. So much is happening and everybody is included. It was great to see all the characters from previous books. It makes me want to read all of the books again. It is not all about fighting, there is a great part about love, sacrifices, joy, family, loyalty, and trust. We finally got to see more of Mordecai and Nathan. Their insight and POV was highly anticipated and I loved their input. It is amazing to follow favorite characters through their story, to watch them grow, change and mature and finally find their peace. I was pleasantly surprised with the sex scene and was so glad there was still time for that. It was wonderful and hot but also seemed more mature and connected. The spiritual aspect is very well explained and written as usual. The whole book is emotional and intense. There were great losses, but it wouldn’t be realistic if there was none. It was…
The series list: The Risk Sidetracked Scarlet Angel All the Lies Paint it all red I binged through this series I was so consumed. It was intense and I went through the roller coaster of emotions. I Cursed, I cried and laugh at the same time. Lana and her brother were tortured, raped and left to die 10 years ago. Everything was covered by corrupted and scared people, even in high places. But she came back. She plotted and learned 10 years for revenge and she is not backing down. What she didn’t expect was to find love in the middle of her rampage. She is so strong and I admired her for all she went through. The plot was intense and we get to see more and more of the past through the series. The moral compass is twisted and I couldn’t fault her for anything she does. I loved the dialogue and sarcasm, and I laughed at the pun-intended jokes. There was so much wrongness in that town I was glad it burned. There is so much more to say about the series, but you have to read it. The secrets are coming out and nobody involved is…
Buy this book now. Seriously! Just wow. I was blown away with every chapter. One of the best mystery, thriller, suspense, erotic romances lately. I am not even sure how to categorize it. It is a great mix of everything entwined. The author writes a wonderful plot, mystery with so many questions along. I went through the whole specter of emotions while reading this and it was worth it. The characters are authentic and realistic, every one of them has their own story but together they are connected with the past. The things that happened should stay there but the past doesn’t want to stay buried. 10 years after attending their senior year someone wants to play a game. Are the memories real? What is the real truth? Just one – that they are the Diry Ones and this is their story! I loved the suspense and couldn’t stop reading until I had all the answers. And when I had them I wanted to read it all over again. I wanted to cry, to yell to hug them or just be with them. The suspense, the building and the romance with an erotic encounter is the perfect mix in an…
Kirsten starts with a bang in this one. Her rightful vengeance against Gavin is detailed and sadistic. There are moments she is in doubt but she quickly correct herself remembering him violating her and enjoying it. We get some insight into his past and. I could almost call it conditioning as it made him the way he is. I understand some of his reasoning so I don’t hate him completely. Her punishment is brutal and almost symbolic with her holding his heart. I still regret her relationship with Abbott but there were other path meant for her. Kirsten goes to China. So this book has more mystic and spiritual ways in finding her old teacher and learning new things. Her power grows incredibly. It was interesting twist seeing Eastern culture, philosophy and their mythology that is much different than ours. Their everyday life is more intervened with it so following her path gets us some insight. And Mrs. Blevins overcome the cultural difference with ease so the reader doesn’t feel bewildered even though he is not familiar with their ways. There is little sex in this one, but that one scene with Nathan makes up for it as Mrs. Blevins…
What a wonderful read. I admit that Mrs. Reisz is one of my favourite and go-to authors without checking the blurb. If she wrote it I will read it. Her writing is wonderful and consumable. Her characters are well built and realistic, her scenes and dialogues pull you in. This book will have you question your moral values, because the line between right and wrong is not solid, there is a huge grey space between. Allison was an orphan, who was adopted by neuro surgeon Vincent Capello. He was nice, smart, rich and loved to help troubled children. She was happy with her adoptive family. While living with him, she had an accident that left her with a memory gap. She is forced to leave her adoptive father, brothers and sister who she loved deeply. Now as an adult she receive the letter from her stepbrother Roland that Mr. Capello is dying. She still holds a grudge against them that they didn’t fight for her, but decides to come to visit them anyway. She has to face the past and back there it is revealing layer by layer. Nothing is as it first seemed and every truth will be questioned….
This is one good mystery and adventure. We have a secret society that goes way back into our past.it deals with schemes, intrigues, their own rules, killing and stealing. At first I was a bit lost with so many information and unknown factors so I think it would be better to read this series in order from the beginning. But the author managed to clear some things later in the book. The mystery reminded me on The Da Vinci Code with all the uncovering secrets from the past. The new Trinity is short on time to discover buried secrets that can costs their lives. The romance was not primary theme but it was ok with some kink and ménage. I liked how they interacted and get to know each other from perfect strangers to lovers. There was not much heat and passion just some hints. I didn’t like how they, especially Caden made bdsm a bad thing. Because he was forced into it and didn’t see the other, good part of bdsm relationship and power exchange. Overall it was a good mystery but I think I would enjoy it more if I had read previous books.
