Ms. Candace surprised us again with a brilliant story. The title is very fitting on many sides, not just the obvious one. We get to know much more about vampire politics and how things are managed in the back. We knew a lot from previous books but this one is up-close with more details, interaction, dynamics and power exchange. The plot is pretty direct with an ex-slave given to a vampire pair and due to the circumstances, another ex-slave Arabella joins them. It was amazing to see so many layers of Ajax, revealing them one by one was fascinating. I’m not sure I liked more his serving side or dominating one. His growth and development were fascinating and Ms. Blevins does a wonderful job revealing his emotions, psyche, and struggles through becoming his own person again and finding his place. His past is tragic and I was amazed by how he managed to come out being the whole person. When he connects with Arabella it is clear that the union between 4 of them is complete. The battle that is ongoing at the time is epic and for those who want to know more, it is mandatory to read Unhuman…
If I could step into one book, let it be one of Tiffany Reisz. I can’t emphasize how much I love her books, her characters, writing, dialogues, humor… everything. The only downside is, there are not enough of them 🙂 They make me giggle, laugh, gasp, cry, horny and more… Winter Tales is a series of Original Sinners novellas, all happening in winter – which is quite fitting for Soren. There is one brand new novella, starring Nora, Zach and the first glimpse of Nico. This was one magnificent treat. There are rare moments for Nora to let herself be vulnerable and unsure, but those are precious and I cherish them. Zach and Nora have their last wild moments together and they are hot and emotional. The whole package is closed with Nora holding Fionn. It is amazing how easily I can connect with the characters, their persona, and experience. The other novellas are also perfect for rereading, starring Soren through different stages. His complete openness is scarce and I appreciated every moment of it. His honesty, devotion, pain, loneliness, fear, love, longing…everything is out in those selected novellas. He is a sadist and sometimes a mystery despite knowing his…
First, let me say I’m a big fan of K.Dukey and K. Webster. I love their writing style, steamy scenes, and darker themes. So I was looking forward to their joined forces in this reverse harem romance. It is sexy and full of hot scenes. The guys are sexy as hell and I loved how every one of them had their own perk. One is kinky, other is sweet, third is funny… So sex is always hot and on the table and there is no jealousy. The girl was ok, I would prefer more of a backbone but nevertheless, she managed them all 🙂 The thing that bothered me was so many well-known phrases in the plot and in their conversation. Excessive use of worn-out clichĂ©s I didn’t expect from good authors like them. Even the storyline was on the verge of boring and lacking suspense. The saving grace was hot sex and their dedication to be with her. It is a good book but I must say I expected more from them. So if you are looking for a steamy reverse harem romance and don’t need much in conversation or suspense, pick this and you will enjoy your evening.
Who doesn’t like kinky aliens?! Ahh, everybody should 🙂 A new author for me as I was looking something kinky and sci-fi, this one popped out. It was entertaining, funny with a bit of romance and some hot sex. We are thrown right into explanation of alien anatomy and their need for women to reproduce. Commander Kellen is on Earth to gather them when he notice one exceptional woman – Dr. Monica. He quickly claims her as his mate and she is swiftly acquaintance with their anatomy first hand. She is shocked with revelation of her genetics and past but in the end everything fits to its place. It was a quick read and there were moments I really wanted to shake the main characters, so much could be avoided if they only talked and listened and not just assume. I was struggling a bit with their technology and their anatomy regardless of description. There were moments that tried to be emotional but something was lacking. Overall it was an ok romance and fun read for me.
Steamy, sweet and sexy romance with a playboy full of contradictions. Roman is ruthless lawyer and a stripper playboy who enjoys his kinky sex and sharing woman. Addison is a starting lawyer and a friend of Romans friend what makes her off limits. They are both determined to get their own way what gets things interesting quickly. One night on her friend’s party they hook up – in the alley with another couple watching… It is hot, erotic, hard and amazing. They both lie to themselves that this was it until she comes to work for his law firm and stops fighting their mutual attraction and chemistry. They “relationship” is intense and full of sex. But things don’t go smoothly until the end when they find happiness and soul mates in each other. I loved how we have two strong characters that just click together. Their attraction is visible to everybody. There were some clichĂ©s and predictable moments but it was entertaining nevertheless. I liked how everyone (in the series) has their particular kink and are not ashamed of it. The second book follows similar pattern as the first but with different characters.
This is one good mystery and adventure. We have a secret society that goes way back into our past.it deals with schemes, intrigues, their own rules, killing and stealing. At first I was a bit lost with so many information and unknown factors so I think it would be better to read this series in order from the beginning. But the author managed to clear some things later in the book. The mystery reminded me on The Da Vinci Code with all the uncovering secrets from the past. The new Trinity is short on time to discover buried secrets that can costs their lives. The romance was not primary theme but it was ok with some kink and ménage. I liked how they interacted and get to know each other from perfect strangers to lovers. There was not much heat and passion just some hints. I didn’t like how they, especially Caden made bdsm a bad thing. Because he was forced into it and didn’t see the other, good part of bdsm relationship and power exchange. Overall it was a good mystery but I think I would enjoy it more if I had read previous books.
This is a wonderful and humorous read. My rating: 4 stars I loved the insight from both sides with the different point of view. Jeffrey and Laura are spontaneous and a bit reckless. They take from life everything and more. There is some great comparison through the story which is wrapped in Jeffrey’s sense of humor and some sarcasm. Even nowadays people dream of good old days of RNR and flower power and it’s a privilege to see it through the eyes of someone who actually lived it. Jeffrey’s writing is descriptive, funny and real with lots of sex and drugs. To hear about musicians we still listen and writers we still read. The stamina of both of them is fascinating and Laura’s input spiced up the whole story. I loved the moment when Jeffrey overcomes his jealousy and starts sharing Laura without prejudice and drama, just pure hedonism and arousal. The closure is good and overall I could say this is a love story and would recommend it further. It’s raw, honest and will shake you to the bone.
Short erotic novella is a great way to pass an evening. Ok maybe it would be better to be a part of it…but “be careful what you wish for” proves right for Bethany. My rating: solid 4 stars When you mix 3 men, who are also shapeshifters and one woman you get a hot poly group made for kink. Due to this being a novella everything develops pretty quickly and the characters don’t have much time to grow on the reader but nevertheless they are well described and the reader can connect to them. Bethany enjoys casual kinky sex but isn’t ready to settle. But when all of a sudden, she meets 3 gorgeous men, her night is not as it used to be. We have a bit sadistic Dom Ranger, fun and sexy cat Jonathan and Max – newly turned wolf. So, there is the whole pack of hot, gorgeous and devoted men. She intends for one-night stand with them, but things turn up differently that she expected. The author does her best explaining the world of shifters and their rules so this novella is ok to read stand alone. There is a tease and a glimpse to Chattanooga…
